Last date for applying for Hostel – 15th June 2006
The Hostel Prospectus and Application forms will be available at the College Office on payment of Rs. 100.
 
Application form may be downloaded online and sent/mailed to the Hostel Office along with Demand Draft of Rs. 100/- Payable to Principal, Daulat Ram College, at the following address :

1.

All the first year undergraduate students desiring Hostel accommodation should submit the application form attached to the Hostel Prospectus/Downloaded Hostel Form duly filled by the last date prescribed for submission of College Admission forms. This application should be submitted to the Hostel Office.

   
2.

Immediately after the admission to the college is completed, students seeking admission to the Hostel should register themselves at the Hostel Office.

   
3.

Admission to the hostel will be considerd only on the basis of registration after admission to the college. At the time of the registration students should submit the counterfoil of their hostel application form and receipt of the fees deposited in the college.

   
4. Late Admission forms will not be considered.
   
5.

A photocopy of Class XII mark sheet must be attached with the admission form.

   
6.

The candidate has to appear personally for interview. She will be required to present the college fee receipt.

   
7.

Both at the time of admission and readmission the student is to be accompanied by her parents and local guardian.

   
8.

When admitted, within two working days the student must pay the hostel fees failing which her admission to the hostel will stand automatically canceled.

   
9.

No change of subject will be allowed in the case of student admitted on the basis of subject merit.

   
10.

If students do not avail of a hostel seat when it is offered, they will lose their priority in the waiting list. Those who absent themselves at the Hostel Admission interview will have no claim on the priority list.

   
11.

Students on the waiting list are advised to regularly check the Hostel Notice Board for relevant information. No individual intimation will be sent in this regard.

   
12.

The parents of the students selected for admission are required to appoint a responsible person as a local guardian.

   
13.

The local guardian will represent the parents and take change of the ward in case of prolonged illness, unforeseen emergencies, university holidays and vacations.

   
14.

The authorities reserve the right to ask for a change of local guardian.

   
15.

Student seeking readmission must contact the hostel office soon after the declaration of their results. Foreign students or students who are abroad may contact the hostel office through local guardians.
