The discipline of Psychology provides an indepth knowledge and skills in understanding of scientific information on virtually every imaginable aspect of human behaviour. Psychologists are frequently innovators, evolving new approaches from established knowledge to changing needs of people, societies and cultures. Apart from this the subject provides knowledge about numerous subdivisions-experimentation, Psychometrics, Psycho-biology, social, clinical, organizational, counselling, development etc. Apart from post-graduate research, specialization and teaching, the subject opens avenues for careers in Civil Services, Management, Mental Health Institutions, Social Work, NGO's and many others, both in India and abroad.
