Department Profile

The Department offers B.Com (Hons) and B.Com (Pass), both of which are highly popular and sought after courses. They provide an insight into accounting, finance management, taxation, law and other related fields so as to prepare the students to face today's dynamic business environment. They also serve as the foundation for professional courses like C.A., C.S., ICWA, CFA, M.B.A. etc. The faculty consists of dedicated, well qualified and experienced teachers to guide the students in pursuit of their academic and career options.

The new B.Com. Honours course familiarizes students with the fundamentals of Financial Accounting, Cost and Management Accounting, Income Tax, Micro and Macro Economics, Business and Corporate Laws. It also seeks to equip students for business communication skills, business ethics and social responsibility along with e-commerce and practical computer training. The optional papers in the III year allows a student to specialize in a subject of her interest.
